Tri-Valley Football Returns Plenty of Experience

The Tri-Valley Mustang football team will look to improve on a 4-5 record in 2022 with 17 returning starters and 23 letter winners from last year’s team.  Of the 17 starters returning, 14 of those are seniors.

Eli McFarland, Logan Ellison, Carter Sorenson, Hayden Hastings, Tyler Groenewald, Colby Carruthers, Reese Smith, Brendan Newman, Isaac Nehlich, Javier Mendoza, Hunter Plueger, Trey Johnson, Everett Althoff, and Cyrus Kirstein are the returning seniors.  They are joined by sophomores Brody Dybvig, Landyn Reiser, and Luke Nehlich who all started last year as well.  Seniors Troy Nebelsick and Nolan Schmidt will also be expected to see action on the field this year.

Head coach Dan Snethen said, “Maximizing existing experienced players, developing young talent, and keeping a ‘1-0 every week’ focus” will be key to a successful season.  “Our work ethic is outstanding.  We had a very productive off season in the weight room and on the track,” added Snethen.

The 2023 season starts in Winner for the Mustangs on Friday, August 18th.
