Tri-Valley Boys Fall to Tough Quarrier Team

The Tri-Valley Mustangs (3-9) kept pace with the Dell Rapids Quarriers for a quarter on Thursday, February 2nd.  Dell Rapids, however, rolled through the middle portion of the game in a 75-44 victory.

Dell Rapids led by just five points at the end of the first quarter, 19-14.  The Quarriers then outscored the Mustangs 26-11 in the second quarter for a 45-25 halftime lead.  They then outscored Tri-Valley 21-8 in the third quarter and led 66-33 going into the fourth.

The Mustangs shot 32% (16-50) from the field overall, 29% (7-15) from three-point area, and 7-12 from the free-throw line.  Dell Rapids was 47% (27-58) shooting overall, 48% (10-21) on three-point shots, and 56% (11-20) from the free-throw line.

Braden Oyen ended with eight points.  Trey Johnson had seven points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Noah Haynes also had seven points with four rebounds and four assists.  Carter Sorenson finished with six points.  Brady Benson added five points, three rebounds, and two assists.
