Titans Shut Down Mustang Boys in Second Half

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys basketball team tailed by just two points at halftime, but the Tea Area Titans held them down in the second half in a 58-36 win on Monday, December 11th.

Tea doubled up the Mustangs in the first quarter and led 14-7 at the first quarter break.  Tri-Valley outscored the Titans 17-12 in the second quarter to cut the Titan lead to 26-24 going into halftime.  The Titans then held Tri-Valley to just 12 total points in the second half.  Tea outscored the Mustangs 22-5 in the third quarter and 10-7 in the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs shot 30% (13-43) from the field overall, 29% (5-17) from three-point area, and 5-10 from the free-throw line.  Tea shot 37% (22-59) overall, 30% (6-20) on three-point attempts, and 62% (8-13) from the free-throw line.

Tristen Bunde finished with 12 points, three assists, and two rebounds.  Brady Jewett had six points, four rebounds, and a blocked shot.  Logan Ellison also had six points.  Trey Johnson added five points, seven rebounds, four blocked shots, and three assists.
