Third Quarter Run Gives Milbank Win over Tri-Valley Boys

A run in the third quarter helped the Milbank Bulldogs to a 60-48 win over the Tri-Valley Mustang boys in Milbank on Saturday, February 15th.

The Bulldogs ended the first quarter with a 16-14 lead.  The Mustangs took a brief 25-23 lead late in the second quarter, but Milbank ended the first half with a 26-25 advantage.  Tri-Valley started third quarter with a 7-2 run to take a 32-28 lead.  Milbank, however, responded with a 9-0 run to go back in front 37-32.  The Bulldogs would not trail the rest of the game.  They held a 42-34 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Tri-Valley shot 37% (19-51) overall in the game, 33% (5-15) on three-point attempts, and 50% (5-10) from the free-throw line.  Milbank shot 35% (18-51) overall, 23% (6-26) from three-point area, and 82% (18-22) from the free-throw line.

Brady Jewett finished with 13 points and three assists.  Ty Oyen added 12 points, right rebounds, and five assists.  Teagin Gacke ended with 11 points and three rebounds.  Kobe Krome had five points and three rebounds.  Alex Wingen had four points and four rebounds.
