The Tri-Valley Mustang girls and boys wrestling teams had their first tournament of the 2024-2025 season of the year in Dell Rapids on Saturday, December 7th. The girls team finished seventh with four points. The boys team finished fourth overall with 131.5 points.
Yaretzi Barqueno finished fourth individually with an 0-3 record.
Treyson Ricther won the 157-pound class with a 3-0 record. Brody Dybvig took the 165-pound division with a 3-0 record. Landyn Reiser placed first in the 175-pound class with a 2-0 record. Jackson Williams was second in the 144-pound class with a 2-1 record. Connor Glassford (126) and Xavier Yount (190) both placed third with 2-1 records. Lucas Van Duyn (113) and Owen Bunde (120) were fourth with 2-2 records. Sean King (106) also placed fourth.
Elliot Powell (215) and Luke Nehlich (285) each had one win on the day. Jaxton Rinehart (132), Alex McFarland (144), Marcus Oberg (150), and Major Ricther (157) also took part in the tournament.
