Mustangs Volleyball Takes Road Loss at Lennox

The Tri-Valley Mustangs volleyball team took a road loss at Lennox against the Orioles on Monday, October 17th.

After the start of the first set went back and forth, the score was tied 11-11.  Lennox eventually took a 17-14 lead, but the Mustangs tied the score 19-19.  The two teams battled back and forth for the next seven points and the score was tied again 26-26.  Lennox got the final two points for a 28-26 win.

The Orioles got out to an early 9-4 in the second set.  The Mustangs battled to a 14-14 tie.  The score continued to stay tied at 17-17.  Lennox then scored the next three points for a 20-17 lead.  They still led by three, 22-19, but Tri-Valley made one more run.  The Mustangs pulled within a point, 23-22, but the Orioles got the last two points for a 25-22 win.

The Mustangs took the early lead in the third set, 4-0.  Lennox tied the score 7-7, but Tri-Valley went ahead again 12-9.  The Orioles responded with a 4-1 run for a 13-13 tie.  The Mustangs rallied one more time for a 17-14 lead only to see Lennox tie the game yet again, 17-17.  Tri-Valley had one more run, and this time held the lead for good.  They went on a 4-0 run for a 21-17 lead and won the third set 25-23.

Lennox jumped out to an early 4-0 lead to start the fourth set.  Tri-Valley pulled within a point 9-8, but that was as close as they would get.  The Orioles went on a 10-2 run for a 19-10 lead.  Lennox won the set 25-13 to win the match 3-1.
