Mustangs Take Road Losses Against Canton and Madison

The Tri-Valley Mustangs traveled to Canton no Tuesday, September 20th and then also to Madison on Thursday, September 22nd.  The Mustangs took 3-1 losses in both matches.

Canton 3, Tri-Valley 1

Canton opened the match with two quick wins.  The C-Hawks won the first set by a score of 25-16 and then the second by a score of 25-12.  Tri-Valley rallied in the third set for a 25-21 win to force a fourth set, but Canton won that set 25-14 to win the match.

Maddie Wenzel finished with six kills.  Ava Pearson and Erica Bicknase both had four kills each.  Pearson also had two blocks.  Kenzie Atwood had two ace serves and 10 digs.  Lauren Grinde also had 10 digs.  Brookelyn Stieben finished with three blocks and nine set assists.  Nevaeh Grann had six set assists.

Madison 3, Tri-Valley 1

Madison got the first two set wins to start the match.  The Bulldogs won the first set 25-21 and followed that with a 25-20 win in the second set.  Tri-Valley was able to force a fourth set with a 25-22 win in the third.  Madison, however, ended the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.

Pearson had a team-high eight kills and also had two blocks.  Megan Wenzel had six kills, four ace serves, and two blocks.  Stieben had 13 set assists, while Grann had eight.  Atwood finished with 15 digs, and Grinde had 14 digs.
