The Tri-Valley Mustang wrestling started at the “Top of the Rock” tournament in Dell Rapids on Saturday, December 2nd. The Mustangs finished fourth with a total of 136.0 points.
Connor Glassford won the 126-pound class with a 3-0 record.
Payton Barrick finished second in the 106B class with a 1-1 record. Brody Dybvig was runner-up in the 157-pound class with a 2-1 record. Landyn Reiser placed second in the 165-pound class with a 1-1 record. Isaac Nehlich was second in the 215-pound class with a 1-1 record. Luke Nehlich was also second in the 285-pound class with a 2-1 record.
Owen Bunde (106) took third with a 2-1 record. Treyson Richter (132) finished third with a 4-1 record. Xander Sharpe (106B) placed fourth with an 0-2 record. Xavier Yount (190) had a fourth place finish with a 2-2 record.
Cyrus Kirstein (144) had one win. Cody Lofswold (126), Bracken Sharpe (132), Marcus Oberg (144), Jesus Mendoza (165), Everet Althoff (175), and Elliot Powell (190) also took part in the tournament.
