Mustang Track Returns 11 State Qualifiers

Twelve athletes, six for the boys and six for the girls, return to the Tri-Valley Mustangs track team for the 2023 season.  The 2022 boys team placed sixth as a team at the state meet.

“We are thrilled to have the numbers we do, and it’s such a great group of athletes.  This coaching staff is excited to get outside and see these kids compete,” said first year head coach Zachary Schoeder.

Dustin Sees, Carter Sorenson, Eli McFarland, Braden Oyen, and Noah Haynes, all return as state qualifiers in multiple events from last season for the boys.  Senior Levi Langloss will also be a leader on the boys team.  Ava Pearson, Emry Jones, Maddie Wenzel, Ella Richardson, Lauren Grinde, and Mattie Huwe will help lead the girls team this season as returning state qualifiers.

“I’m excited for every athlete on the roster.  With a few practices under our belt, I have noticed the senior crew has taken full responsibility in the leadership role.  They encourage and pull for every team member, whether it’s a 7th grader or another senior,” added Schroeder.
