Mustang Football Rolls Past Custer in 2025 Home Opener

Tri-Valley Mustang FootballThe Tri-Valley Mustang football team opened the 2025 season in a big way on Friday, August 29th.  They rolled past the Custer Wildcats 53-3, ending the game about midway through the fourth quarter.

First Half

Brody Dybvig opened the scoring with a 55-yard touchdown run with 8:46 to play in the quarter.  Kadyn King made the extra point for a 7-0 lead.  Landyn Reiser added a one-yard touchdown at the 3:46 mark in first quarter.  Another King extra point pushed the lead to 14-0.  The first quarter ended with a 14-0 Mustang lead.

Reiser scored again with 10:30 to go in the second quarter on a 28-yard run.  The extra point was missed leaving the score 20-0.  The Mustangs scored two more times in the second quarter.  The first touchdown was a 37-yard run with 5:49 to go by Dybvig.  Reiser found the end zone for the third time with 2:38 to go in the half, but in a unique way.  He ran 26 yards towards the end zone but fumbled going in for the score.  Reiser was able to recover the ball in the end zone for the score.  King made one of two of the extra points, and Tri-Valley led 33-0 going into halftime.

Second Half

The third quarter started with fireworks.  Dybvig took the third-quarter kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown.  King made another extra point to push the lead to 40-0.  Brady Jewett found the end zone with 6:39 to play in the third quarter on a 42-yard run for a 46-0 lead.

Custer finally got on the board early in the fourth quarter.  Kiran Pesicka made a 23-yard field goal to make the score 46-3.  Jewett connected with Connor Glassford on a 23-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter.  King made the extra point to end the game on the 50-point rule, 53-3.
