The Tri-Valley Mustang track teams competed in the Quarrier Invitational in Dell Rapids on Monday, May 8th. The boys team finished third with 74 points. The girls team had a sixth place finish with 48 points.
Ava Pearson won the shot put. Peyton Vogt placed second in the 300m hurdles. Emry Jones was third in the 100m hurdles. The 4x100m relay team of Jaidyn McMillen, Madie Wenzel, Ella Richardson, and Jones placed third. The 4x800m relay team of Rowyn Gacke, Tyler Gibson, Zoe Dissing, and Isabella Mack also placed third. Hillary Hastings took fourth in the high jump and long jump.
The boys 4x100m relay team of Eli McFarland, Levi Langloss, Carter Sorenson, and Ledger Burggraff took first place. McFarland placed second in the 200m dash, third in the 100m dash, and fourth in the long jump. Braden Oyen was third in the 110m hurdles. Ty Oyen was third in the 300m hurdles and fourth in the 110m hurdles. Isaac Nehlich placed third in the shot put. Dustin Sees was third in long jump. Isaac Langloss finished third in the triple jump. The 4x400m relay team of Noah Haynes, Parker Hemme, Eli Kendig, and Owen Effling placed third as well.
