Flandreau Take Advantage of Tough Offensive Night by Mustang Boys

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys played in their second straight road game in Flandreau on Friday, January 10th.  The Fliers took advantage of an off-night shooting by the Mustangs in a 56-26 win.

Flandreau started the game on a 5-0 run and slowly built a 16-8 lead by the end of the first quarter.  The Mustangs only scored four points in the second quarter, and Flandreau extended their lead to 31-12 by halftime.  Tri-Valley was able to almost double their school by the end of the third quarter, but the Fliers extended their lead to 45-21 going into the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs shot just 23% (8-35) overall, 19% (4-21) on three-point attempts, and 6-14 from the free-throw line.  Flandreau, meanwhile, shot 50% (22-44) overall, 43% (9-21) from three-point area, and 3-3 from the free-throw line.

Alex Wingen had six points and two rebounds.  Brady Jewett finished with five points and three rebounds.  Tristen Bunde added four points and three rebounds.  Teagin Gacke and Ty Oyen both had three points and two rebounds each.
