The Tri-Valley Maroon 14U baseball team scored in every inning and rolled to a 12-3 win over Volga White at home on Tuesday, June 30th.
Tri-Valley scored the first run in the bottom of the first inning. Volga tied the game, 1-1, with a run in the top of the second. Tri-Valley would then score three in the bottom of the second and two more in the third for a 6-1 lead. Volga got one more run in the top of the fourth inning. Tri-Valley responded with two in the bottom of the inning for an 8-2 lead. Each team scored a run in the fifth inning. Tri-Valley ended the scoring with three more runs in the bottom of the sixth.
N. Campbell had two hits with an RBI. J. Samuelson finished with a single and three RBIs. B. McMillen had a triple and two RBIs. B. Williams and K. Wipf each had one hit. L. Gacke ended with two RBIs.
McMillen pitched four innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. Gacke tossed one inning and allowed an unearned run on two hits with one strikeout. T. Sorenson pitched two innings and walked three batters.
