Tri-Valley Maroon 14U Wins Four of Six in String of Games

The Tri-Valley Maroon 14U baseball team made a weekend trip to Rapid City and played five games in a span of three days.  They came home from that trip with a 3-2 record.  On Friday, June 19th, Tri-Valley picked up an 8-4 win over NoCo Grinders Baseball.  They dropped a pair of games on Saturday, June 20th.  Tri-Valley lost 15-9 to UD Expos and 13-9 to Colorado Mountain Lions.  They finished the weekend with a pair of wins on Sunday, June 21st.  Tri-Valley blanked Valor Vikings 13-0 and defeated the Rapid City Sliders 14-4.

With only one day off, Tri-Valley was back in action on Tuesday, June 23rd.  They hosted Dakota Valley and earned a 7-3 victory.  Tri-Valley scored single runs in the first, second, and third innings for a 3-0 lead.  Dakota Valley got two runs in the top of the fourth and then tied the game 3-3 with a run in the top of the fifth.  Tri-Valley regained the lead with a three-run bottom of the fifth.  They added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth for the win.

R. Thompson had two doubles with two RBIs.  B. McMillen had a double with an RBI.  K. Wipf ended with a single and an RBI.  O. Desouza finished with a triple.  P. Amundson, N. Campbell, and J. Samuelson all had one hit each.  L. Gacke ended with an RBI.
