Mustangs Victorious on Homecoming

The Tri-Valley Mustangs ended their homecoming week with a big win over the Dakota Valley Panthers on Friday, September 19th.  The Mustangs went in front in the first half and held for a 20-7 win.

After a scoreless first quarter, Tri-Valley found the end zone early in the second quarter.  With 11:43 to play in the half, Brody Dybvig had a 35-yard touchdown run.  Brady Jewett then connected with Jewett on a two-point conversion pass for an 8-0 lead.  The Mustangs added to the lead before halftime.  Landyn Reiser had a one-yard touchdown run.  The two-point attempt was no good, but the Mustangs led 14-0 going into halftime.

Dakota Valley cut the lead in half in the only score of the third quarter.  The defense scored for the Panthers on a 92-yard interception return for a touchdown.  A made extra point cut the lead in half 14-7 going into the fourth quarter.

Tr-Valley was able to put the game away with 4:59 remaining.  Jewett had a 23-yard touchdown pass to Sullivan Snethen making the score 20-7.

The undefeated Mustangs travel to Dell Rapids on Friday, September 26th.
