The Tri-Valley Mustangs hosted the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers in a Region 3A match on Tuesday, October 10th. The Chargers took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-9, and 25-17.
A quick 9-1 run by the Chargers kept them in front the entire first set. They extended their lead to 13-3 and then 19-8 before taking the win 25-12. Sioux Falls Christian started the second set on a 5-1 lead. Tri-Valley cut the lead to 6-4, but the Chargers responded with a 4-0 run to extend the lead to 10-4. They then went on an 11-4 advantage for a 21-8 lead before winning 25-9. Tri-Valley kept the score within four points early in third set at scores of 8-4 and 12-8. The Mustangs continued to keep things close, trailing 13-8, but the Chargers slowly pulled away for the 25-17 win.
