The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls basketball team hosted the second-ranked Lennox Orioles on Monday, January 13th. Lennox defeated Dell Rapids by a score of 67-27. This was the third game in a week for Dell Rapids.
Lennox took control of the game early by jumping out to a 14-0 lead. The Orioles led 21-2 at the end of the first quarter. The lead grew to 35-10 by halftime. Lennox continued to cruise in the second half outscoring Dell Rapids 32-17 in the final two quarters.
Dell Rapids was led by Aspen Hansen with nine points. Alli De Stigter had six points, and Haileigh Barnhart finished with four points. Lennox was led by Madysen Vlastuin with 19 points and Rianna Fillipi with 17 points.
Dell Rapids (0-7) will travel to Hartford to play the West Central Trojans on Tuesday, January 21st. The game can be seen on Big Sioux Media.
