The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal boys couldn’t get back into the win column on Tuesday, January 12th, as St Mary lost to the Parker Pheasants 77-33 at Dell Rapids St Mary High School.
The Pheasants led from start to finish in the game. Parker led 13-6 after the first quarter, but pushed their lead to 41-20 at halftime. The Pheasants were leading 63-30 at the end of the third quarter.
St Mary shot 26% (11-43) from the field in the game, 29% (7-24) from three-point area, and 40% (4-10) from the free-throw line. The Cardinals were out rebounded 50-30 in the game and turned the ball over 25 times.
Connor Libis had 11 points for St Mary. Luke Brown and Jason Cook each had six points. Noah Fiegen pulled down five rebounds, and Luke Brown had three rebounds. Austin Welbig finished with three assists.
St Mary (1-8) plays Alcester-Hudson on Saturday, January 16th, in Yankton.
