De Smet Girls Win Third Straight at Entringer Classic

The De Smet Bulldog girls basketball team won their third straight game at the Entringer Classic on Saturday, December 16th.  The Bulldogs defeated the Baltic Bulldogs 67-32.

De Smet jumped out to a big 24-9 lead by the end of the first quarter.  The lead for De Smet grew to 43-20 by halftime.  The score was 60-27 at the end of the third quarter.

De Smet finished the game shooting 46% (26-57) overall, 50% (8-16) from three-point area, and 58% (7-12) from the free-throw line.  Baltic shot 34% (13-38) overall in the game, 18% (2-11) on three-point attempts, and 4-6 from the free-throw line.  De Smet forced 25 turnovers, 17 of those on steals.

Hazel Luethmers finished with 25 points, six rebounds, seven steals, and two assists.  Brooke Jennings added nine points and six rebounds.  Ivey Schoenfelder also had nine points with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Mirra Beck had seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Megan Dylla also had seven points, two rebounds, and three assists.  Alyssa Asleson finished with six points, four steals, and three assists.
