Second Half Run by Hawks Sinks De Smet Girls

The De Smet Bulldog girls fell to the Colman-Egan Hawks in Colman on Friday, January 26th.  The Hawks outscored the Bulldogs in the second half for a 46-38 win.

Colman-Egan had a four-point lead, 15-11, at the end of the first quarter.  The Bulldogs rallied in the second quarter and tied the game 22-22 at halftime.  The Hawks outscored De Smet 12-7 in the third quarter to take a 34-29 lead into the fourth quarter.  Colman-Egan extended the lead to 10 points with 1:03 to play for the win.

The Bulldogs shot 27% (15-55) from the field overall, 19% (5-27) from three-point area, and 38% (3-8) from the free-throw line.  Colman-Egan shot 40% (14-35) overall, 26% (6-23) on three-point shots, and 71% (12-17) from the free-throw line.

Hazel Luethmers had 19 points, five rebounds, and two steals.  Brooke Jennings had eight points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.  Audi Currier tallied four points.
