Hamlin Uses Big Second Quarter Run in Win over De Smet Girls

The Hamlin Chargers used a big run in the second quarter in their 64-35 win over the De Smet Bulldogs on Tuesday, January 17th.

The Chargers had a 10-point lead, 18-8, at the end of the first quarter.  It was a big second quarter run by Hamlin that put the game out of reach.  The Chargers scored the first 22 points of the quarter and led 41-12 at halftime.  Both teams scored 23 points each in the second half.

De Smet shot 43% (15-35) from the field, 1-7 from three-point area, and 4-9 from the free-throw line.  Hamlin finished the game 48% (23-48) shooting overall, 36% (8-22) on three-point shots, and 71% (10-14) from the free-throw line.

Jada Burke had 10 points and two rebounds.  Hazel Luethmers finished with six points and four rebounds.  Emma Albrecht also had six points with two rebounds.  Cori Birkel ended with four points.
