The De Smet Bulldog girls basketball team won for the fourth time in five games after a 50-44 road win against the Estelline/Hendricks Redhawks on Friday, January 20th.
The Bulldogs had a lead in three of the quarters in a game that was close throughout. De Smet had the lead 13-11 at the end of the first quarter. The Redhawks took the lead in the second quarter and led 21-19 at halftime. De Smet held a one-point lead, 30-29, heading into the final quarter, and they were able to outscore Estelline/Hendricks 20-15 in the final quarter.
Jada Burke had 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Hazel Luethmers added 16 points and five rebounds. Emma Albrecht ended with nine points and six rebounds.
