Bulldog Girls Lose First DVC Game of Season

The De Smet Bulldog girls traveled to Arlington for a Dakota Valley Conference game against the Cardinals on Thursday, January 5th.  The Cardinals defeated the Bulldogs 77-65.  Arlington held a 44-34 lead at halftime.

Both teams shot the ball well in the game.  De Smet shot 47% (25-53) overall, 40% (6-15) from three-point area, and 53% (9-17) from the free-throw line.  Arlington was 54% (28-52) shooting, 35% (6-17) from three-point area, and 60% (15-25) from the free-throw line.

Three players finished in double figures for the Bulldogs.  Jada Burke had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.  Emma Albrecht had 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Hazel Luethmers added 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
