The Dell Rapids 14U SEBA baseball team continued to put up big offensive numbers on Monday, July 6th. They defeated Avera SEBA 19-4 for their ninth win with 10 or more runs this season.
Avera scored two of their four runs in the top of the first inning. Dell Rapids responded with three in the bottom of the inning for a 3-2 lead. They would get eight more runs in the second to push the lead to 11-2. Avera picked up two more runs in the top of the third to make the score 11-4. Dell Rapids then scored three in the bottom of the third and then five more in the bottom of the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.
Myles Spaeth had two hits and three RBIs. Lincoln Davis added a single and two RBIs. Reid Roiger had a double. Jaeger Prinsen and Oliver Bowers both had a single. Quin Howardson and Tate Veltkamp both had an RBI.
Spaeth pitched two innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on a hit and three walks with five strikeouts. Holden Bunkers also pitched two innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and walk with three strikeouts.
