The Dell Rapids 14U Red team scored in every inning and cruised to a 14-4 win over Canton on Monday, July 14th.
Dell Rapids scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Canton cut the lead in half, 4-2, with two runs in the top of the second. Dell Rapids responded with three more in the bottom of the inning for a 7-2 lead. Each team scored two more runs in the third inning. Dell Rapids then had two runs in the fourth and three more in the bottom of the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Dawson Bunkers had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs. Chace Stroschein also had three hits with three RBIs. Harper Hansen added three hits, one a double, and one RBI. Brooks Brende had two hits. Charlie Bollock and Eli Pavlis both had a single with two RBIs each. Lucas Peppel and Jager Prinsen both had a single, and Bryce Kludt had an RBI.
Brende pitched three innings and allowed four earned runs on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Bunkers pitched two innings and allowed two walks and had five strikeouts.
