The Garretson Blue Dragon girls soccer team won their second straight match on Thursday, August 29th. They hosted Worthington, MN and came away with a 2-0 win on Parents Night and Senior Recognition.
Garretson finished with 23 shots on goal in the match. Goalie Cortney Rogich had 13 saves in net. Malena Qualm scored the first goal in the first half to give the Blue Dragons a 1-0 lead at intermission. Anna Ebbing scored on a penalty kick in the second half after Harper Andera was taken down in the box. Those two goals were enough to give Garretson the win.
Lydia Frerk and Andera finished with five shots on goal. Ava Ockenga and Qualm both had four shots on goal each. Ebbing had three shots on goal. Kaylin Leedy and Leighton Kindopp both had one shot on goal.
