Rorie Thoreson and Camden Tebay qualified for the state cross country meet with top 20 finishes at the Region 2A Meet in Garretson. The girls team placed fifth with a team score of 93 points. The boys team placed seventh with 94 points.
Thoreson finished eighth with a time of 19:02.12. Madyn Lacey (24th) had a time of 21:48.97. Liz Vogel (29th) completed in 22:29.53, and Addy Witte (32nd) had a time of 22:36.71.
Tebay finished 18th with a time of 17:38.88. Alex Heinemann just missed a top 20 finish, placing 22nd, with a time of 18:23.64. Nolan Katzer (24th) had a time of 18:33.37. Charlie Person (34th) finished in 19:00.26, and Nolan Carstensen (36th) had a time of 19:03.51.
The 2025 South Dakota State Cross Country Meet will be held in Huron on Saturday, October 25th.
