The Dell Rapids Quarrier competitive cheer team competed at two events in the past week. They took part in the Brandon Valley Invite on Tuesday, September 23rd and then participated in the Sioux Valley Invite on Thursday, September 25th.
Fifteen teams took part in the Brandon Valley invite on Tuesday. Just two of those teams were class A teams. Dell Rapids finished with a team score of 220.5, which was good for 10th place overall. Sioux Valley was the only other class A school participating, and they finished with a score of 265.0.
Dell Rapids then traveled to Volga for the Sioux Valley Invite. Five teams took part in the competition. The Quarriers finished second with a score of 159.0. Sioux Valley took the top spot with a score of 181.5. Deubrook was third and had 148.5 points. Elkton-Lake Benton was fourth at 137.0 points, and Faulkton took fifth with 115.5 points.
