The Dell Rapids Jr Legion team was shut out by Parkston, 8-0, on Friday, July 18th. Parkston scored two runs in the bottom of the first, two in the fourth, three in the fifth, and then one more in the bottom of the sixth on nine total hits.
Dell Rapids was held to just two hits. Jackson Peppel had a double, and Caiden Borns had a single. Peppel pitched four innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on four hits and six walks with eight strikeouts. Rhett Thoreson pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed an earned run on four hits with three strikeouts. Gauge Bunkers threw 1/3 of an inning and allowed three earned runs on a hit and two walks.
