Dell Rapids PBR rolled past the Colman A’s in a 9-2 win on Tuesday, July 1st.
Dell Rapids got back-to-back three-run innings in the second and third innings for a 6-0 lead. PBR added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth and another run in the seventh for a 9-0 advantage. Colman scored single runs in both the eighth and ninth innings.
Zach Puetz had three doubles and an RBI. Nate Nichols had three singles with an RBI. Beau Behrend had two hits and an RBI. Connor Spindler had two hits, one a double. Brayden Pankonen also had two hits. Chris Kropuenske, Drew Sweeter, and Tim Wilhelmsen all had a hit with an RBI each. Riley Calhoon also had an RBI.
Sweeter pitched seven innings and allowed six hits with five strikeouts. Pankonen pitched two innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts.
