The Dell Rapids Mudcats put together a late rally to get a 6-5 come-from-behind win over the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks on Tuesday, July 1st.
Hartford/Humboldt scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first. The Mudcats tied the game, 1-1, with a run in the top of the third. The Gamecocks went back in front with a run in the bottom of the fourth. They added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-1 lead. Dell Rapids tied the game, 4-4, with three runs in the top of the seventh inning. They kept the rally going and scored two in the top of the eighth to take their first lead, 6-4. The Gamecocks only got one run in the bottom of the eighth.
Ty Hoglund had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Josh Roeman had two singles. Reece Arbogast had a hit with two RBIs. Treyse Eastman had a single and an RBI. Austin Henry had a single, and Seth Anderson had an RBI. Nolan Burchill pitched seven innings and allowed four earned runs on six hits and a walk with 11 strikeouts. Henry pitched two innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and walk with two strikeouts.
