The Dell Rapids Jr Legion team earned a 10-0 win over Flandreau on Wednesday, July 2nd.
After two scoreless innings, Dell Rapids broke through with a five-run bottom of the third inning. They added three more in the bottom of the fourth for an 8-0 lead. Dell Rapids ended the game on the 10-run rule with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Jace Brende had two hits and three RBIs. Caiden Borns had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. Andrew Schoeberl had two singles with an RBI. Gauge Bunkers and Daniel Richardson both had two hits each. Kenny Swanson added a double with two RBIs. Rhett Thoreson pitched six innings without allowing a hit while walking two and striking out nine batters.
