The Dell Rapids Quarrier team hosted the Dell Rapids Invite on Monday, May 12th. Both teams finished third. The girls team had 97 points, while the boys team had 79 points.
Rorie Thoreson had two wins. She won the 800m run in 2:20.75 and the 400m dash in 1:00.99. Alaina Wolff won the 200m dahs in :27.62 and finished third in the 100m dash in :13.07. The 4x400m relay team of Wolff, Josie Price, Clara Justice, and Thoreson took first in 4:17.80. The 4x800m relay team of Kirti Pickard, Madyn Lacey, Taylor Schmidt, and Brielle Hilmoe also won with a time of 11:02.04. Justice took third in the 100m hurdles in :16.39. Elly Olson was third in the 300m hurdles in a time of :50.75. Elizabeth Krantz was third in the long jump (15’3.5″) and third in the triple jump (32’7″). The sprint medley relay team of Claire Witte, Justice, Hilmoe, and Schmidt took third in 4:44.01.
Carson Maeschen won the shot put with a throw of 48’5″. Jackson Peppel won the javelin with a throw of 141’5″. Jack Kloth took first in the high jump with a leap of 6’2″. Will Ronshaugen won the triple jump with a jump of 41’10.25″. The 4x400m relay team of Peppel, Ronshaugen, Connor Hanson, and Grady Lamer was second in 3:32.89. The 4x200m relay team of Peppel, Lamer, Drake Eastman, and Cole Ruesink finished second in 1:34.21.
