Quarrier Track Team Travels to Canton

The Dell Rapids Quarrier track team took part in the Terry Bong Invite in Canton on Thursday, May 1st.  The girls team finished third overall with 87.5 points.  The boys team was sixth with 59 points.

Alaina Wolff won the 100m dash in a time of :13.20.  Rorie Thoreson took the top spot in the 800m run with a time of 2:21.34.  Liz Vogel placed second in the 3200m run in 14:22.73.  Clara Justice was second in the 100m hurdles with a time of :16.93.  The 4x200m relay team of Wolff, Josie Price, Elly Olson, and Justice was second in 1:52.78.  The sprint medley relay team of Claire Witte, Emily Baker, Jersi Schutlz, and Taylor Schmidt placed second with a time of 4:55.37.  The 4x800m relay team of Kirti Pickard, Madyn Lacey, Schmidt, and Brielle Hilmoe finished third in 10:47.53.

Carson Maeschen won the shot put with a throw of 48’7.75″.  The 4x200m relay team of Jackson Peppel, Grady Lamer, Drake Eastman, and Cole Ruesink took the top spot with a time of 1:31.60.  The 4x400m relay team of Connor Hanson, Peppel, Lamer, and Will Ronshaugen won in a time of 3:36.17.  Peppel also finished second in the javelin with a throw of 140’10”.  The 4x100m relay team of Nick Snyder, Quinn Carr, Behr Peckenpaugh, and Kenny Swanson took third in a time of :46.08.
