The Dell Rapids powerlifting team competed at the state meet in Baltic on Saturday, March 1st. Eight of the athletes finished in the top five of their division.
Kirti Pickard and Tollin Peterson both took the top spot in their division. Matthew Nelson and Makayla Nelson both finished second. Ella Johnson and Sarah Schoolmeester were third-place finishers. Willow Rietz took fourth place. Scottie Carver finished fifth.
Daniel Richardson, Hunter Julson, Ian Zellmer, Thomas Monroe, Kaiden Zellmer, Jackson Ahlers, Jeremiah McDougall, Zander Windorski, and Anthony Wittler all participated in the meet as well.
