The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys ended their regular season with a road win in Garretson on Monday, February 24th. The Quarriers defeated the Garretson Blue Dragons 59-39.
Dell Rapids held just a one-point lead, 10-9, with 1:30 to play in the opening quarter. The Quarriers scored the final four points for a 14-9 lead. They continued their run into the second quarter and pushed their lead to 22-9 with 4:45 remaining in the second. Dell Rapids led 34-14 by halftime. The Quarriers continued to play well in the second half. They led 50-25 going into the fourth quarter.
The Quarriers shot 53% (24-45) overall, 33% (5-15) from three-point area, and 6-11 from the free-throw line. Garretson finished the game shooting 33% (15-45) ovearll, 27% (4-15) from three-point area, and 5-8 from the free-throw line.
Tad Tjaden had 19 points, two rebounds, and four assists. Lincoln Anderson ended with 11 points and two rebounds. Jack Kloth added 10 points and eight rebounds. Karsen Paye finished with nine points, three rebounds, and four steals. Lincoln Fersdahl had six rebounds and two assists.
