The Garretson Blue Dragon girls soccer team will be young, but they are ready to get the 2024 season started.
The Blue Dragons have a total of 18 players this year from both Garretson and Dell Rapids. Kaylin Leedy and Cortney Rogich are the only two seniors on this year’s team and will be looked at to lead the team. “We have some returning players who have been staples on the team since they were in 7th and 8th grade, which will also add some veteran presence on the pitch,” said head coach Amber Bos.
On the defensive side, Rogich returns in goal and Meiah Olson, Alyssa Olson, and Ava Ockenga return on the back line. Offensively Harper Andera, Ella Frerk, Anna Ebbing, Leedy, Brooklyn Trudeau, and Amaya Millwood return for the Blue Dragons.
Garretson also welcomes a large group of 7th and 8th graders to this year’s team.
