The Dell Rapids 16U baseball team shut out Canton 12-0 on Friday, July 12th. Dell Rapids scored in every inning while holding Canton to just two hits. They got two runs in the first, two in the second, two in the third, and then had a big six-run fourth inning. The game ended on the 10-run rule in the fifth inning.
Gauge Bunkers had two doubles and an RBI. Tommy Lavoy also had two hits with an RBI. Jace Brende had a hit and two RBIs. Jackson Peppel and Kaiden Zellmer both had a single and an RBI. Connor Hanson and Jake Heinitz both had one hit each, and Ryan Stubbe had an RBI. Stubbe pitched five innings and allowed just two hits with 10 strikeouts.
