Dell Rapids Red 14U held a lead after three innings of play, but Madison White rallied late to take an 8-6 win on Wednesday, July 10th.
Dell Rapids put three runs on the board right away in the top of the first inning. Madison got one run back in the bottom of the inning. Both teams scored a run in the second, and then each team scored two runs in the third. After three innings of play, Dell Rapids led 6-4. The score remained 6-4 until the bottom of the fifth. Madison scored two times to tie the game 6-6. They then took the lead with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Jacob Geraets finished with two hits, including a double. Haiden Kaffar, C Jones, and Pano Skliris all had a single and an RBI each. Knox Cuny, Hayden King, and Boden Mailey all had one hit apiece. Edgar Vazquez pitched three innings and and allowed four runs, two earned, on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts. Cuny pitched two innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits with four strikeouts. Mailey threw one innnig and allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
