Dell Rapids PBR came up two runs short in a 4-2 loss at Madison on Sunday, July 7th.
Madison broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the second with a run. PBR tied the game, 1-1, with a run in the top of the third. Madison scored two times in the bottom of the fourth and then added another in the fifth for a 4-1 lead. PBR was only able to get one more run in the top of the seventh.
Conner Spindler had a home run and an RBI. Weston Hansen added a single and an RBI. Riley Calhoon finished with a double. Drew Sweeter, Matt Gillogly, Nate McKee, and Beau Behrend all had one single each. Sweeter pitched eight innings and allowed four earned runs on nine hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
