Dell Rapids 16U extended their winning streak to five games after a 7-1 victory over Madison Black at home on Monday, July 1st.
Dell Rapids scored early and in all innings but one in the game. They scored two runs in the bottom of the first, two more in the second, one in the third, and another in the fourth for a 6-0 lead. Madison got a run in the top of the fifth, but Dell Rapids scored another run in the bottom of the fifth.
Jace Brende had three hits, one a double, with an RBI. Connor Hanson had two hits and two RBIs. Jake Garaets finished with two hits and an RBI. Gauge Bunkers had single and an RBI, and Luke Symens added an RBI. Hanson pitched six innings and allowed an unearned run on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. Bunkers pitched one inning and allowed a hit with one strikeout.
