The Dell Rapids Phils scored all their runs in the final two innings to earn a 15-6 come-from-behind win over Sioux Falls Christian on Tuesday, June 18th.
Sioux Falls Christian took the lead right away in the bottom of the first with two runs. The score remained 2-0 until the bottom of the fifth. Sioux Falls Christian then scored four more runs to extend their lead to 6-0. Dell Rapids then began their rally in the top of the sixth. They scored five times to cut the lead to 6-5. The Phils then put 10 runs on the board in the top of the seventh to go ahead for the win.
Tad Tjaden had two hits and two RBIs. CJ Smith added two singles and an RBI. Mason Stubbe had a hit and two RBIs. Sutton Williams finished with a single and an RBI. Matt Nelson had a single, and Talan Millage and Lincoln Fersdahl both had an RBI.
Konrad Richeal pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed four runs, one earned, on five hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts. Quinn Carr pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed two earned runs on three walks with one strikeout.
