Canton rallied for big inning that led to a 9-4 win over Dell Rapids Red 14U on Wednesday, June 19th.
Dell Rapids struck first with a run in the bottom of the second. Canton took the lead with a three-run top of the third inning. Dell Rapids was able to regain the lead with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third. The score remained 4-3 in favor of Dell Rapids after four innings of play. Canton then rallied for six runs in the top of the fifth to help them to victory.
Edgar Vazquez had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Camden Jones finished with two hits and an RBI. Boden Mailey added an RBI. Knox Cuny pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts. Mailey pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed a walk with one strikeout. Hudson Wolff threw 1/3 of an inning and allowed six earned runs on four hits and four walks.
