A lone run was enough for the Dell Rapids Mudcats as they defeated the Flandreau Blue Teal 1-0 on Sunday, June 9th at Rickeman Field.
Ty Hoglund scored the lone run on a steal of home in the bottom of the eighth. Chad Hunt had taken off for second base and was chased back to first as Hoglund broke for home. The throw to the plate came late as Hoglund slid in safely.
Dalton Lehnen pitched the complete game shutout allowing just three hits while recording 17 strikeouts. Hunt had two hits for the Mudcats. Lehnen also had two hits. Hoglund, Josh Roemen, and Dalton Allen all had one hit each.
