The Dell Rapids Mudcats earned four more wins to improve to 8-0 on the season.
Mudcats 8, Baltic River Dawgs 6
On May 30th Dell Rapids scored two runs in the ninth inning to break a 6-6 tie for the win. Chad Hunt had four hits and three RBIs in the game. Mark Abrahamson added two hits and two RBIs. Elijah Story also had two hits. John Spaeth struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth to earn the victory.
Mudcats 10, Colman A’s 0
Dell Rapids played a double-header against Colman on June 2nd. In the first game, Dalton Allen threw a five-inning no hitter after the game was called on the 10-run rule. Dalton Lehnen belted a three-run home in the bottom of the first inning, and Kris Regas added a solo home run later in the inning.
Mudcats 6, Comlan A’s 5
The Mudcats built an early 6-1 lead after three innings in the second game of the double header. Colman rallied to pull within a run, but the Mudcats held for the win. Abrahamson was the winning pitcher in the game and also had two hits. Carter Gullickson also had two hits.
Mudcats 15, Flandreau Cardinals 0
The winning streak continued for the Mudcats with a 15-0 win over the Cardinals on Thursday, June 6th. Regas pitched the full game without allowing a run on two hits with 15 strikeouts. Abrahamson had three hits in the game. Gullickson, Hunt, Lehnen, and Kole Zimmerman all had two hits each.
