The Dell Rapids high school baseball team earned their third state title in four years on Saturday, June firsts in Sioux Falls. Dell Rapids had an undefeated season against South Dakota teams and was 28-2 overall.

An early lead helped Dell Rapids to an open round win on Friday, May 31st. Dell Rapids scored two runs in the bottom of the first and another in the second for a 3-0 lead. They added a run in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three more in the bottom of the sixth.
Mason Stubbe had three hits, two of them doubles, and an two RBIs. Cole Ruesink had a double and two RBIs. Sutton Williams added a single and an RBI. Jack Henry finished with two singles. Treyse Eastman and Lincoln Fersdahl both had one hit, and Talan Millage and an RBI. Henry pitched one inning allowing one hit with one strikeout. Drake Eastman pitched six innings allowing four hits and two walks with nine strikeouts.
Dell Rapids 5, Parkston 0
In the semifinals, Dell Rapids extended an early 1-0 lead to 5-0 after scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth and two more in the bottom of the sixth. Tad Tjaden pitched 6 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball with four walks and 10 strikeouts. Konrad Richeal got the final out of the game.

D. Eastman broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the second with an RBI sacrifice fly. Tjaden had an RBI triple, and Millage drove home a run on an error in the bottom of the fourth for a 3-0 lead. Howard got two runs in the top of the sixth, but Dell Rapids shut down the rally.
Tjaden had a triple and an RBI. Ruesink had two hits, including a triple. Ruesink added two hits, one a triple. Henry finished with two hits. Fersdahl had a single, and D. Eastman added an RBI. Henry pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits and four walks with nine strikeouts. Millage got the final two outs recording one strikeout.
