The Dell Rapids Quarrier track team had their first meet of the 2024 season on Monday, April 1st. The Quarriers traveled to Brookings for the Scott Underwood Invitational.
Clara Justice finished fourth in the 100m hurdles in a time of :16.78. Claire Wynja was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 32’6.25″. Rorie Thoreson placed 10th in the 1600m run with a time of 5:32.17. The 4x100m relay team of Sophia Godwin, Wynja, Alaina Wolff, and Kylee Fiddelke had a third place finish with a time of :52.45.
Mason Stubbe was fourth in the long jump with a distance of 20’9.25″. Carson Maeschen was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 44’8.25″. The 4x400m relay team of Grady Lamer, Cooper Cuny, Will Ronshaugen, and John Mortrude finished fifth. The 4x800m relay team of Lamer, Ronshaugen, Jackson Peppel, and Mortrude placed sixth. The 4x100m relay team of Stubbe, Tollin Peterson, Gabe Jones, and Jack Henry took seventh.
