Last year’s Dell Rapids Quarrier girls track team qualified four relay teams and two individual entries to the state meet. Five of those athletes return to this year’s team.
“I am excited about the girls that we have out this year. We have a nice mix of senior leadership and young girls to work with. Our goal is to improve every meet and hopefully by the end of the year, we can put together a competitive group to compete at the state meet,” said head coach Steve Hansen.
This year’s seniors include Sophie Godwin, Kylee Fiddelke, Madison Carpenter, Makaylah O’Meara, Halle Uphoff, and Claire Wynja. These seniors will be joined by juniors Clara Justice and Karley Ingalls to pave the way for the young team.
