The Tea Area Titans took advantage of some struggles by the Quarriers in the second half for a 56-49 win on Friday, December 15th.
Dell Rapids started the game on a 6-0 run and ended the first quarter with a 12-6 lead. Both teams scored 13 points each in the second quarter, and Dell Rapids continued to lead 25-19 at halftime. The Titans cut into the lead by two points in the third quarter. Dell Rapids led 42-38 going into the fourth quarter. The Titans outscored the Quarriers 18-7 in the final quarter for the win.
The Quarriers shot 48% (21-44) overall from the field, but just 1-13 on three-point attempts and 43% (6-14) from the free-throw line. Tea Area finished the game shooting 39% (20-51) overall, 25% (6-24) from three-point area, and 10-14 from the free-throw line.
Jack Henry finished with 19 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Treyse Eastman added nine points. Tad Tjaden had eight points and four rebounds. Rhett Kloth had five points, four rebounds, and two blocked shot.
