The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys basketball team finished the 2022-2023 season with a 16-6 overall record. They were defeated by Madison in the second round of the Region 3A Tournament. This year the team looks to improve in a tough Class A.
“We have great leadership on our team, and guys that are willing to play hard. There are still spots to fill, and guys are hungry to keep getting better!” said head coach Ty Hoglund.
Jack Henry, senior, returns as the leading scoring from a year ago at 15 points per game. Senior Rhett Kloth and Junior Tad Tjaden also return as starters from a year ago. Senior Treyse Eastman will be looked to provide senior leadership and defensively intensity. Coach Hoglund looks for everyone on the team to have an increased role this season.
The Quarriers start this year on the road against West Central on Friday, December 8th.
